Maybe because of all the weddings lately, or because of the engagement of a makeup guru that I follow, my friends and I talked about chinese weddings, bridesmaids, wedding related stuff a lot lately (or just today with Kay lol). Our conclusion is the groom has to be loaded to pay for the wedding (traditionally). And chinese weddings are so complicated!
In 4-5 years, probably one of my besties would get married!! So excited and scared at the same time. Five years is actually a pretty short period, and to know that someone is going to go through such an important step in their life and that I am there to witness and help makes me feel so special. I could almost imagine the whole scene in front of my eyes lol. But I think Im more into the planning than the actual wedding, because planning is always more exciting than the real thing. You get to envision the best or the worst situations.
And thinking back, 4-5 years ago were just like yesterday, we were high school kids, dreaming about cegep and university lives, messing our food in the cafeteria, playing stupid games, and spending like we want. Everything went through so fast.
I am now in the middle, went through adolescence's "craziness", but not yet into the "serious" adulthood.
