Wall

I remember having a conversation with someone a lot older than me, talking about directions and our future. He had a plan to live somewhere else with the love of his life (for now) but everyone thought that his plan wouldn't succeed, everyone thought that his girlfriend would leave him if he ever went there. But when I told him what his surroundings thought of him he wasnt surprised, he knew people were worried. He told me that even if everyone went against his plan, he would still leave because he would regret if he didn't. He never tried so he wouldnt know what the consequences are.

And then I thought of the conversation I had with his friends... we were against him leaving, we wanted to talk to him to make him change his mind... but who are we really to force him to choose something he doesnt like? Who are we to tell him where to go in life?

That night, I was just being a listener, I told him what I thought and he told me that even if he knew that he would bump on a wall, he is firm with his decision... because at least he tried...

And I support him, sure we may do a lot of stupid mistakes, we may know that theres a wall in front of us but we still decide to bump on it full force and hurt ourselves but at least we tried... friends are there to give us warnings, give us signs, but if we still decide to do it then just support and pick us up when we really do fall and hurt ourselves.  Because if we never try, we will never learn, we will never know the end results...
Plus it's just boring to stay safe all your life ;)
